Willie Nelson Ain’t Deathly Sick: “He’s Perfectly Fine,” Says His Publicist

Despite a report from online gossip site RadarOnline, Willie Nelson isn’t “deathly ill.”

According to Willie’s publicist, Elaine Schock, Willie is “perfectly fine.” Elaine made the comments to the Associated Press, citing Willie’s performances at nearly a dozen shows in recent weeks as proof the 83-year-old singer isn’t “weak as a baby.”

Earlier this year, Willie canceled shows on January 28 and 29 and February 6, 7 and 8 due to a “bad cold.” However, the Red Headed Stranger has since returned to the stage, including performing for more than 75,000 fans at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 18. Willie has a number of tour dates scheduled in April, including the Merle Haggard Tribute in Nashville on April 6.

In April, Willie is slated to drop his new album, God’s Problem Child, which features “Still Not Dead,” a tune Willie co-wrote with producer Buddy Cannon.

Below, watch Willie’s new video for “It Gets Easier,” which is also featured on his upcoming album.
