Today on B95.1, you will hear Eric Church’s new song “Darkest Hour” being released to help victims of Hurrican Helene.
Eric Church hands over ownership of his first new song in years to his home state of North Carolina
To provide immediate relief following the devastation of Hurricane Helene as well as providing ongoing funds to support
a more resilient future for North Carolina, Church announced that he is signing over all his publishing royalties for the
new single, “ Darkest Hour”, to the state’s disaster relief fund.
Church in a statement said “I owe everything to the state of North Carolina and wouldn’t be here without all the people
that make it the greatest state in the country. When disaster hit, I was in the midst of recording and a song we were
working on took on new meaning. We are rushing this out in an effort to try and give back. I thought something that
could provide relief immediately was vital, but I also wanted to figure out a way to continue providing resources to
people of my state in anticipation for whatever is next and for long after I’m gone.”
In addition to his efforts in his home state, Church’s “Chief Cares” foundation will be assisting not only in North Carolina
but in all states and communities affected from Appalachia to the Gulf.
The new song, Church’s first new release in over 3 years, is titled “Darkest Hour“and is now available everywhere.
Chief Cares is sending money to the entire region affected by this devastating hurricane. Click here to donate, or go to
