A new kids’ book titled, Howdy: Welcome to the Grand Ole Opry, will be published this fall by Abrams Books for Young Readers. The book is written by the Opry’s Director of Archives and Content Management, Emily Frans, and illustrated by Susannah Chapman, and it features a foreword written by country music superstar – and Opry member – Lainey Wilson. The iconic Nashville venue – which is celebrating its 100th birthday this year – will be introduced to a new generation of country music fans through a kids’ book that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the Opry alongside colorful illustrations of legendary performers like Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, and Darius Rucker. “The Opry is more than a venue; it’s a place of deep cultural significance where performers and fans connect through a love of music,” Frans says. “I can’t wait to inspire kids to visit, learn the rich history, and even dream big about their own debut one day!” (People)
