After serving as an opener for Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley on their headlining tours, Cam will see her name at the top of the marquee when she kicks off her 13-date Burning House Tour in October. With the headlining gig, the bubbly, yellow-clad singer is coming close to completing her bucket list—at least that’s what she says with an affable laugh.
“My own tour is all I’ve ever wanted,” says Cam to Nash Country Daily. “Well, I mean, I sang with Eric Church already and I met Dolly Parton, and now I get my own tour. When I get married, my bucket list is done [laughing].”
And there’s good news for Cam on the marriage front. After getting engaged to Adam Weaver in July 2015, Cam is busy planning her big day—actually, her sister is doing most of the planning for her.
“Yeah, my sister is helping out a ton,” says Cam. “Because I don’t have quite as much time as I’d like, and a wedding sort of adds on a lot. So you have to find help, and I’m really lucky that I have her.”
As far as her new tour, the “Burning House” singer is promising a magical experience.
“The tour is going to be amazing,” says Cam. “From the videos and our imaginations, we get to create this beautiful setting. The band has a super-tight vibe, and we are going to make a full-on Cam-country vibe. It will give everyone an escape for a little while. It’s going to be magical.”
