During a recent appearance on Friday Night Takeover with Rob + Holly, Jelly Roll shared the inspiration behind his hit single, “Liar,” which is currently on a six-week run at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart “This song is just about standing up and being like, it’s a lie,” Jelly shared. “Tell me I can’t lose 150 pounds. That’s a lie. Tell me I can’t learn the guitar in my late 30s. That’s a lie. Tell me I can’t start my Country music career at 37. That’s a lie.” Jelly also gave an update on his personal health journey, as the country star continues to lose weight due to exercising and eating healthier while on tour. “The physical is finally matching the change that’s happening inside,” Jelly admits. “I am busting a** out here, dude. I’m gonna lose another 100 pounds right in front of everybody’s eyes just like I just lost 150 in front of everybody’s eyes.” (Audacy)
